Camp Crash Course (0.3 CEUs)
Fee: $80 member/$100 non-member
A direct result of TRAPS member input, this highly interactive learning experience is the perfect pre-institute for those wearing a camp supervisor hat. Multiple presenters will provide sessions on topics like staff recruitment and training, managing personnel conflicts, and ramping up program innovation will be balanced with engaging team building activities. Attendees of this pre-institute will gain knowledge and activity ideas they can apply as soon as they return to their organizations. An optional camp round table will follow the event.

Tuesday, February 27, 1-3:30pm
Service-Learning Programs at Galveston Bay Foundation (0.2 CEUs)
Early Bird Fee: $30 member/$50 non-member | Regular Fee: $40 member/$60 non-member
Cindy Wilems, Galveston Bay Foundation
Join Galveston Bay Foundation educators at the Sweetwater Preserve to learn more about the local ecosystem and discuss incorporating service-learning activities into student and adult programming. Participants will be able to participate in birding, flora and fauna identification, and reflection activities. Due to this being an outdoor activity, the onsite restroom facilities consist of a portable toilet within a private enclosure. Much of your time on this tour will be spent walking on varied terrains.
